| RTI INTERNATIONAL IS RECRUITING FOR THE FOLLOWING JOB POSITION for the School Health and Reading Program, a five-year, USAID-funded program that aims to improve early grade reading outcomes for children in primary grades and collaborate with the government of Uganda to develop sustainable health education systems that support national HIV/AIDS prevention efforts.

Universities in North Carolina founded RTI in 1958 as a centerpiece of the Research Triangle Park. Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) will provide and play an integral role in overseeing financial and administrative activities and providing managerial supervision for all aspects of the program. S/he will provide guidance and support to financial, administrative and support staff to implement program components, including support for early grade reading and mathematics instruction, teacher training, HIV/ AIDS education, district support, and social advocacy initiatives. The DCOP will interface with both USAID and other counterparts regarding the overall direction of the project in the absence of the COR S/he will oversee general office operations, financial management, monitoring and evaluation, communications, and information technology support. Provide oversight to budgets, grants, operational plans, reporting, and procedural and financial compliance. The DCOP will establish and maintain cooperative relationships with key stakeholders, including government counterparts. S/he will be accountable for the timely submission of all required contractual deliverables and expected results. |
