The Company
We are a medium sized, rapidly expanding logistics company based in Nairobi and with operations in Mombasa, Dar es Salaam and Kigali. We specialize in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, trucking, warehousing and distribution.
Our operations in Dar and Kigali are executed through an outsourced agent based in Dar. We are seeking an exceptional professional with a successful history in freight forwarding sales and operations to be based at our new Dar Branch. The main purpose will be to generate more freight forwarding jobs and coordinate customs clearing through our outsourced agent.

Reporting to the director, the sales executive will deliver new and repeat freight forwarding business in Tanzania. He/she will manage the new Dar Branch ensuring we generate sufficient freight forwarding volumes. He/she will also coordinate clearing and transport through our outsourced agent.
Functions of the job:
* Prepare a sales pipeline of prospective importers across Tanzania; * Generate freight forwarding business within Tanzania; * Periodically report to Head Office on sales generated; * Coordination on all shipments including preparation of all documentation; * Coordinate clearing of goods with outsourced agent.Application Instructions:

* Excellent communication skills, ability to connect with customers and key external stakeholders; * Exceptional knowledge and understanding of the local market will be necessary; * Demonstrate a proven track record of solid monthly revenue generation, be self driven and have a clear focus on building strong relationships with clients whilst providing high quality customer service; * Integrity, credibility and standing, with an ingrained character to succeed in whatever situation; * Good understanding of the Clearing & Forwarding business in Tanzania; * Excellent organizational skills with the proven ability to work proactively under minimal supervision;Experience
* Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years successful experience selling Clearing &Forwarding in a busy set-up; * Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office software; * Must be a nationality of the United Republic of Tanzania.How to apply;
