IntraHealth International is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to be based in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist will ensure the continuous monitoring of program progress in close collaboration with the Government of Tanzania, USAID, and other implementing partners. S/he is responsible for designing and implementing program M&E activities and developing the capacity of various stakeholders in data collection, analysis, reporting, and evaluation. Liaising with the US based M&E team, the M&E Specialist will identify and evaluate best practices and state-of-the-art approaches for the program, and disseminate overall results to project stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
# Design the monitoring and evaluation framework for the project.
# Research, compile, write, and submit information for project reports requirements and other internal and external communications and management documents.
# Complete data analysis and reports; enter and analyze quantitative and qualitative data according to the needs of the team and project stakeholders.
# Ensure project staff buy-in and adherence to M&E framework
# Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, qualitative and quantitative analyses based on results to assist project in adjusting program activities.
# Investigate, create, and develop new methods and technologies to aid project advancement.
# Design and implement any special studies and operation research required by the Project.
# Collect and disseminate best practices and lessons learned from the project.
# Update program communications materials periodically.
# Prepare routine reports, presentations, brochures, project summary sheets, newsletters, highlights and other publications as required by the project.
Master’s Degree or higher in Statistics or other related fields, or a Bachelor’s in Statistics with at least 10 years experience in Monitoring & Evaluation, preferably in the field of Social Work or Community Development. Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation techniques, procedures, and protocols, with 5 or more years of proven M&E experience. Experience working on M&E for USG funded projects. Demonstrated skills in quantitative data analysis and data management. Experience in questionnaire development (including testing for reliability and validity).
# Strong writing skills with the ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
# Demonstrated skill and effectiveness in communicating with others, particularly research and evaluation staff members (domestic and international).
# Proficiency in English required, proficieny in Kiswahili highly desirable.
