UAP Group is a Pan-African Financial Services Group with interests in Insurance, Investment Management, Property Investment, Securities Brokerage and Financial Advisory. Currently UAP has ten (10) businesses operating in Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan and Rwanda which are market leaders in their respective fields, and will be entering the Tanzania and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) markets soon. UAP is currently executing an ambitious pan-Africa growth and expansion strategy in order to extend its business into new geographical markets and to establish new business lines in high growth areas which complements its existing core business of Insurance.
In order to execute its ambitious growth strategy, UAP Insurance Uganda Limited would like to recruit dedicated team of ambitious, focused and high performing individuals for the following roles
Solicit and procure on the Company’s behalf applications for such insurance contracts as the Company may from time to time offer and to provide such after sales service in respect of those insurance contracts as may be required from time to time by the Company.
Key Responsibilities will include
•Build customer relationships and maintain levels of
•Routine surveillance of the market.
•Contact underwriter and submit forms to obtain binder coverage,
•Ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled, including the completion of appropriate forms.
•Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients.
•Sell various types of insurance policies to businesses and individuals on behalf of the insurance company, including automobile, fire, life, property, or specialized policies such as marine,
• Deliver policy documents to clients within 30 days from the date received from head office and explain the benefits
• Keep clients’ interests uppermost while rendering prompt and sincere services to them and their dependants;
• Keep adequate and relevant records always
• Improve his knowledge of insurance through constant study
• Work consistently and according to a programme
• Strictly adhere to all laws and regulations and observe them in letter and spirit
Academic & professional qualifications
Minimum Educational Qualification: Diploma in any field (Social Science, Marketing, etc), Added Advantage: Degree in Marketing, Education, or
Social Sciences and prior sales experience
Skills and Competencies
Must be self-driven / self motivated Confident
Excellent communicator Excellent people skills Result Oriented Focused
Good at networking
Good knowledge in English and a local language Age Bracket: 25 – 40years
